Nothing says "Wow!" like a new Arrellin piece! Here he revisits a basic design he loves to paint, the single, assymetrical radiating star pattern, only here he has done it in exquisitely rendered double gold lines, with the center section consisting of solid gold diamonds. How he manages to carry the design across seams to extend around the entire piece is beyond us, but he does it... and perfectly! His technique involves taping off sections to paint and layering up to 5-6 layers of the metallic gold to give his signature rich, saturated color. Against the deep royal blue silk, the gold is simply stunning.
All eyes will be on you as you step into the room wearing "Gold Radiant Star" over a simple black top and slim black dress pants. A bit of gold jewelry completes the look.

Valentin Arrellin's Bio

Zacatecas, Mexico

“I am from Zacatecas, a colonial and mining city in central Mexico. I graduated as a Mining Engineer in 2000 from Zacatecas University and worked on 4 different underground mines for 2 years. After I graduated, I decided I didn’t like mining. I moved to Santa Fe in 2002 and fell in love with its adobe houses, Spanish and Native American culture and its art. All of this inspired me to create and illustrate.”

“Being in engineering school prompted me to fall in love with Geometry. Sacred Geometry caught my attention. It is in everyone, everywhere and everything from the tiniest particle, human bodies, animals, plants, planets, galaxies and the universe itself. My art is based in nature and it’s natural patterns and shapes, from the microcosm to the macrocosm.”

“The study of Sacred Geometry has always been fascinating to me, from both scientific and spiritual points of view. There are times when people who advocate one facet of Sacred Geometry scoff at the people on the other side of the fence. Nonetheless, it cannot be denied that the study of Sacred Geometry, whether for scientific or spiritual purposes, is something that can blow the mind away.”
